(applause) One, Lost Souls, is a Torchwood spin-off running around 43 minutes. The other, The Coup, is a spin-off from Doctor Who (aren’t they all?) and clocks in at 23 minutes or so. –That means over an hour of full-cast science fiction audio drammer fa nuthin’. As part of BBC 4’s Big Bang Day, celebrating the activation of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Lost Souls, a specially-commisioned audio drama spin-off from the Torchwood television series, is being presented on September 10 at 2:15PM GMT.

Intriguing, and since I worry about most of these questions myself every day, I’ll be tuning in. All I wonder is, should we celebrate turning on the LHC? You saw the movie The Mist, right? Yikes!

Torchwood to have a Radio Drama episode on BBC Radio 4

Torchwood, that Doctor Who spin-off currently airing on that technological dinosaur called “tele-vision”, is going to be having a special one-off broadcast exclusive to radio! Yep, a radio show episode of the television show will air exclusively on BBC Radio 4 this summer! The 45 minute episode will be broadcast in Radio 4’s traditional “Afternoon Play” slot and use the same cast as on the TV show. Now that’s what I call progress!
