The Orbit Books blog has announced that iTunes UK is offering a “Pre-Release Audiobook” of Matter by Iain M. Banks. This is the complete, unabridged version. Its priced at £21.95. The abridged hardcopy CD version streets February 7th 2008. No word on a North American release for the unabridged version yet.

StarShipSofa podcast has a great audio story this week by none other than SF legend Bruce Sterling called We See Things Differently. It came out in 1989 and was part of his short story collection for his anthology Globalhead.

BBC7’s the 7th Dimension is re-broadcasting their action-packed reading of a novelette by Leigh Brackett. The Last Days of Shandakor was originally published in April 1952 issue of Startling Stories magazine and was first broadcast on BBC7 back in March 2007.
