LibriVox: Tales Of Terror And Mystery by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

SFFaudio Online Audio

With Halloween still months away its kind of surprising to see this collection of short stories available now. But just think, with 12 complete short stories you could listen to just one a week and it’d be Halloween soon enough. I’m not a very big fan of multiple readers serially recording a chapter or two at a time, but that isn’t the case here, this is a short story collection, each individual story has just one reader, which is perfect!

“Though Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is best known for his detective stories, he also wrote other short stories which are masterpieces of mystery and suspense. In some of the stories in Tales of Terror and Mystery, a suppressed uneasiness gradually builds up and evolves into sheer terror. In others, the story line unexpectedly changes and comes to a horrific conclusion. Sit back in the comfort of your armchair and let yourself be transported to the strange but compelling world created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.”

Two exclusive interviews with George R. R. Martin, 1 Free, 1 FREE Free

Online Audio

iTunes Audiobook Store - FREE Exclusive Interview With George R.R. MartinThe Apple iTunes Audiobook Store has a banner ad featuring a FREE “Exclusive Interview With George R.R. Martin.”
The interview appears to have been recorded by Books On Tape (the audiobook company releasing Martin’s Song Of Ice And Fire fantasy series), and was provided to iTunes by Audible.com. The interview runs 38 minutes and talks about the Song Of Ice And Fire series as well as the audiobook versions of them. And like the title of it sez, this is an exclusive, it isn’t on Audible.com or on the Books On Tape website. iTunes will ask for your iTunes account which requires a credit card even though the item your getting is free.

One reviewer of the interview mentions the Geeks On podcast, and that they have interview a superior interview with Martin recorded at last year’s ComicCon. Judge for yourself |MP3|.

First ever Mack Reynolds audiobook

SFFaudio Online Audio

Podcast - The Time Traveler ShowThe Time Traveler Show podcast #19 has a never before heard short story by Mack Reynolds. Reynolds is one of my favorite “b-list” writers. He always tells a compelling story from an off-kilter perspective. This is, as far as I’m aware, the first ever audio adaptation of any Mack Reynolds tale. Hopefully it will be the first of many more. Also, be sure to have a listen to The Time Traveler’s exclusive interview with SF writer Tobias Buckell author of Crystal Rain and Raggamuffin, from show #18 MP3.
