I’ve been on the look out for James Sallis audio since I reviewed Drive his fast paced crime novella. Here’s an old interview (2001) in which he talks to Fresh Air‘s Terry Gross about his biography of crime writer Chester Himes. |REALAUDIO|
Does anyone know of more James Sallis audio out there?

BBC7 did a reading of Sallis’s Lew Griffin novel, Eye of the Cricket. You can find it on radioarchive.cc

That’s what first turned me on to Sallis — I’ve read everything I can get my hands on since.
It’s a pity so much of it is out of print.
Thanks Ruadhri! Downloading that now.
I forgot to mention that Eye of the Cricket is the fourth book in the Lew Griffin series, but don’t let that put you off. If you enjoy it, you can always revisit the series from the start.
He really is a fantastic writer.
